Penguins are adorable, and often serve as the topic for preschool and elementary learning experiences, so I thought it would be fun for children to make some out of toilet paper tubes! Making cardboard tube penguins is super simple for young learners – these adorable birds make great playthings!

Cardboard Tube Penguins
Living here in southeast Wisconsin, I can imagine penguins would feel quite at home here! Especially during our extreme winters! Cardinals might represent some regular bird species here but penguins would make for quite the sight! Our cardboard tube cardinals reflect them perfectly but penguins represent something else altogether.

These adorable cardboard tube penguins are an easy craft for children made out of toilet paper rolls and construction paper. Construction paper is often a necessity in homes with children; make your empty toilet paper tubes into cute penguins!

If you’re concerned about germs, an empty paper towel roll cut in half or thirds makes an effective project to make this same project. Just add googly eyes and glue!
