Are your pinecones riddled with tiny bugs? To eliminate this issue quickly and easily, heat your oven to 250 F and bake your pinecones for 45 minutes at this temperature before letting them cool before beginning making pinecone owls from them.
If desired, instant grab glue can be used in place of hot glue. Acorn tops should first be soaked in water to loosen any caked on dirt before gently brushing with baking soda using an old toothbrush and baking in a 250F oven for 45 minutes until fully dried out.
